Born in Lower Austria, Jeff Frohner worked as a bandleader and keyboardist in various rock and pop formations before completing his studies at the Jazz Conservatory Wiener Neustadt. He has played with artists including Georg Danzer, Andy Baum, The Rounder Girls and Günter Mo Mokesch, has arranged and conducted numerous musicals, led rehearsals and acted as musical director. At the Sommerfestspiele Bruck he was responsible for Anything Goes, Sweeney Todd, Verliebte & Verrückte, Jesus Christ Superstar und Evita. He has toured all over Europe with shows such as 3 Musketiere, Blutsbrüder, Im Weißen Rössl, Der Graf von Monte Christo and Hairspray, and has performed gala evenings and concerts with stars including Pia Douwes, Drew Sarich and Maya Hakvoort. He has also contributed new compositions for Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Wilhelm Tell and Torquato Tasso and written music for film/TV and commercials. Other credits include Xanadu, King Kong, Singing in the Rain, Arthur, Sugar - Some Like It Hot, Fame, Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror, WE WILL ROCK YOU and the German premiere of BODYGUARD – The Musical. He regularly teaches musical workshops at Performing Arts Vienna and other musical academies in Germany and Switzerland.
Rubén Díaz Cuchillo comes from a family of musicians and began his musical education at an early age. He studied at the Valencia Conservatory, focusing on jazz percussion, and then went on to complete an MA in interpretation and music research. In the last ten years he has worked as a guest musician for national and international artists and participated in the most important jazz festivals in the country, playing in big band formations as well as in quartets and quintets. With the latter, he won a prestigious award in the best jazz album category in 2020.
Thorsten Heitzmann studied under Jiggs Whigham at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. He was a member of the Bundesjazzorchester and the KölnBigBand and has played in musicals including Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Hair and Motown - The Music Show. In 2004 he was the trombonist on the Anke Late Night Show with Anke Engelke on SAT.1, where he performed with Nina Hagen, Matt Bianco, Till Brönner and others. With his own band “Bonefunk” he released two CDs and gave concerts at international festivals. Heitzmann has worked with a variety of artists in many different styles: Sarah Connor, NDR Big Band, Albie Donnelly's Supercharge, Marc Marshall, Pee Wee Ellis, African-European Orchestra, Udo Jürgens, Pe Werner, Barbara Schöneberger, Reinhard Mey, Tony Marshall, Jürgen Drews and the Wolfgang Schmidtke Orchester.
Der in Prudnik (Neustadt/Polen) geborene Peter Kowal siedelte 1988 im Alter von drei Jahren in die BRD über. Mit acht Jahren machte er seine ersten musikalischen Gehversuche am Keyboard und erhält seit seinem 13. Lebensjahr Gitarrenunterricht. 2005 absolvierte er das Voorpleiding (vorbereitendes Jahr) an der Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Enschede. Beim internationalen Duo-Wettbewerb Voice & Guitar war er 2008 mit dem Duo Weise & Kowal Preisträger. Seinen Abschluss machte er 2011 in Köln im Diplom-Studiengang Musikpädagogik mit Studienrichtung Instrumentalpädagogik im Bereich Jazz (künstlerisches Hauptfach: Jazz-Gitarre). Zu seinen Lehrern im Bereich Jazz-Gitarre zählten Prof. Frank Haunschild, Michael Gustorff und Jörg Lehnardt. 2012 erhielt er den ersten Preis beim Solisten-Wettbewerb Swingujacy Kruk im polnischen Czestochowa. Kowal wirkte zudem in zahlreichen Bands mit, darunter Nina´s Rusty Horns und Hot Club De Cologne, und spielte gemeinsam mit Musiker*innen wie Erna Rot. Im November 2021 veröffentlichte er sein Debütalbum Peter Kowal – Relaxin‘ at Kuniberts‘.
Robert Lindemann is a professional musician and plays the double bass and electric bass. He has lived in Cologne for more than 20 years. He performs in numerous musicals in Cologne and on tour, including We Will Rock You,Bodyguard, Hairspray and Richard O’Brien’sRocky Horror Show. He also tours with artists including Mark Medlock and Tom Beck, and works as a songwriter and producer. He has performed in many different festivals including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, as well as in the Schalke Arena, Köln Arena, various theatres and opera houses and in countless clubs.
Der freischaffende Lead- und Solotrompeter mit Sitz in Budapest hat in den vergangenen 25 Jahren unter anderem mit dem Budapest Jazz Orchestra, dem Modern Art Orchestra, dem ungarischen National Circus Orchestra sowie international zum Beispiel mit Shows wie BERLIN BERLIN, Evita, On Your Feet, Dreamgirls, Grease oder Guys And Dolls, um nur einige zu nennen, gespielt, getourt und Aufnahmen gemacht. Er ist Mitbegründer der BJC Big Band, der Hausband des Budapest Jazz Club, wo er als musikalischer Leiter und Lead-Trompeter der Band fungiert. Außerdem ist er Leadtrompeter im NART-Orchester und spielt Erste Trompete beim Budapest Scoring Studio Orchestra. Er ist auf über 50 ungarischen Pop-, Jazz- und Klassikalben sowie auf über 100 internationalen Film- und Computerspiel-Soundtracks zu hören. Im Laufe seiner Karriere hatte er die Möglichkeit, mit führenden Künstlern zu spielen und Aufnahmen zu machen, darunter Dave Liebman, Chris Potter, Bob Mintzer, George Duke, Peter Erskine, Patti Austin, Gunhild Carling, Eric Miyashiro, Ken Peplowski, Rick Margitza, Tony Lakatos, Mark Nightingale, Brian Charette, Trevor Mires, Alistair White, Ed Neumeister, Tommy Vig, Miroslav Vitous, Butch Lacy.
A freelance musician, David Romero Peralvarez specialises in clarinet, bass clarinet and tenor saxophone. He currently teaches at various music schools in Valencia. He also works as a musician and is known for his versatility and experience in classical music, jazz and funk. He regularly works with the Berklee College of Music and has recorded several film scores.
Cyril Zarde began his musical career studying under Armin Jordan, Claudio Abbado and Jacques Mercier. He took part in the “Victoires de la Musique” music awards with the “Onztet de Violon Jazz”, conducted by Didier Lockwood, and has played at the Montreux and Nice Jazz Festivals. He performed in Switzerland as the first violinist of the Rosenberg Trio and with the Cirque Du Soleil’s show Quidam at the Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as on its two-year tour, which covered more than 650 performances in thirty countries. He subsequently appeared in Chicago - The Musical and Ghost - The Musical.
